In the controversial nitish katara casefrom febuary 2002,vikas yadav and his cousin vishal yadav son of powerful politician dp yadav were sentensed today.they were granted life time imprisonment.they were also imposed a fine of rs1.60 lakh each.
the juudge ravinder kaur stated" the case does not deserve capital punishment .the convicts have been granted with life imprisonment"
the case starts from a wedding on 16th feb 2002when bharti yadav sister ofvikas yadav and nitish katara attened a wedding of common friend. dancing of nitish with bharti was seen by his brothers.after the marriage ceremony nitish was seen with vikas and their three cousins..next day the dead body of nitish was found 80 km from the wedding venue..
vishal and vikas went undergrount ,but both of them were arretsted after few days from dabra railway station.from that time the trial began and after 7 years of regular dates the coutreached its decision....
