These days Gmail Labs is offering some useful application on your gmail account for testing purpose.Google starts test on 5 june.There are 13 new applications in the list for testing.On the bases of the feedbacks of users, google will make the final list of applications out of these 13 applications.

To use these applications.Go to the setting option of your gmail account.In settings there is a option "Labs" on light hand side.Then, click "Labs" and you will be able to see the list of 13 new applications with new features.Check the enable box to activate them and begin testing.
 
Quick links,Superstars,Picture in chat,Fixed width font,Custom keyboard shortcuts,Mouse gestures,Signature tweaks,Random signature,Custom date formats,Muzzle,Old Snakey,Email Addict and Hide Unread Counts are the name of these applications.I have tested Picture in chat as shown in image given below.

"Based on user feedback, we'll decide which ideas to retire and which to convert into fully baked Gmail features."
