Famous Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who got fame from her debut movie film Om Shanti Om will be leading the parade in newyork on India Day Parade on 17th august.
This parade is the showcase of Indian Culture since 1981. Industrailist Vijay Mallya will be the chief guest of the function.
The parade is suppose to begin on 41st street and witha number of shows it will end on the 23rd street.Around 50,000 people will come to watch this parade.
In recent years famous Indian stras like Madhuri Dixit,Govinda ,Sunita Williams,Devanad and Priyanka Chopra have been part of this parade.
Rajni Sarin co-convener of BJP's Doctors cell will be going to join the Parade.And many events will be organize to salute the "first struggle for independence of 1857".
UN has also declared last year Mahatma Gandhi's Birthday as international day of Non voilence.And Fia is also planning to establish a statue of mahatma Gandhi in the campus of United Nations.UN has also shown a positIve reply in this behalf.
