This picture of French first lady Carla Bruni Sarkozy was sold at $91000 at Christie’s New York.
Buyer is from the China and is an art collector. It is a black and white photograph shot by Michael Comte during her modeling days in 1993.
This photo was unnoticed before she comes in the picture with French president Nicolas Sarkozy.
The photo had been expected to fetch between $3,000 and $4,000. It was auctioned as part of a sale of 140 photos from German collector Gert Elfering, which also features work by Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton and Peter Beard.
This picture has somewhat modesty and portraying the beauty of the women to highest level. She is standing in pigeon toed pose and covering her private parts with hand.
