The story of the suspense thriller movie Anamika is based in a palace in Rajasthan and it starts from Gajner Palace in Rajasthan, the palace owned by Vikram Aditya Sisodia(Dino Morea) . Vikram has a proposal of converting his beautiful palace into a resort and he meets Jia Rao whom he starts loving while trying to convert his palace to a resort. While he is planning to marry Jia(Minissha Lamba), he tells her the secret that she will be his second wife of Vikram and his first wife, Anamika(Aarti Chhabria) died under mysterious circumstances.
Jia with Vikram’ reaches the beautiful Lake Palace of Gajner and she is impressed to see the magnificent large palace and she is also amazed to see Anamika’s photographs, who has been a socialite in the region.
Jia is clutched by the beauty of Anamika and she tries to transform herself into Anamika but Vikram doesn’t like her to change to Anamika as he did not like to recall his first wife memories. The brother –in-law of Vikram accuses him of being behind the killing of his first wife and Jia gets into a dilemma and wants to know the truth behind the death of Anamika. She talks to her friend Malini(Koena Mitra) who is a governess in the palace and Malini has been helping Vikram to convert the palace into a resort.
Then many events happen. One man claims himself to be lover of Anamika and a sandstorm reveals more truths about the past. The events bring Jia to the same situation in which Anamika died and she too sees death in front of her .The truth of the palace and Anamika is the story of the movie.
