Look the following picture, don’t you think that this is one of the most beautiful bird you have ever seen.

Now look the next picture, your brain may signal you that every beautiful thing is not so pleasing every time.

This is a bird and considered as the most dangerous bird. In 2004 guineas book of world records awarded it the most dangerous bird. Looking once you can think that it’s a very beautiful bird but seriously you will never wish to go near it after knowing the nature of this bird.

Cassowary is the name of this bird found in rain forest of Australia and New Guinea. It belongs to the same family as of the ostrich, emus, rhea and kiwi. There are three species of cassowary and these are: Southern cassowary,Northern cassowary and Dwarf cassowary .

Among these the most dangerous and biggest is southern cassowary. It is the largest land creature and second largest bird of the world after ostrich. And third tallest after ostrich and emus.Southern cassowaries weigh about 70 kg and its height can be up to 1.75 meters. They are equipped with 5 inches long dagger shaped claws and very strong beak. With those strong legs they can run with a speed of 50 km per hour.  The bird is dangerous because of its powerful fatal blow. They are very unpredictable, aggressive creatures, especially if wounded or cornered and they really can kill you.

It is among the endangered species and about to extinct.

The Cassowary is also one of the most difficult animals to keep in the Zoo because of the frequent injuries suffered by Zoo keepers that look after them. They are very shy but if they are behaved ill then they get uncontrollable and can kill anyone.
