In last few years India has become the major business center for the business world.All the big companies are investing in Indian business because they have recognized the potential of Indian business.One of the major dominating market in India is Telecom market.Recently TRAI has released a report on Telecom market of India.According to that report, India's wireless network is going to become the second largest network in the world after China in the first half of april 2008.
The main features of TRAI report are:
1.There are 8.49 million telephone subscriptions in february 2008 and 8.74 million subscriptions in january 2008.So, the total mark reaches to 290.11 million telephone connections at the end of february 2008. The overall tele-density is 25.31% at the end of february 2008 as against 24.63 in january.
2.In case of wireless segment, there are 8.53 million subscriptions in february 2008 and 8.77 million in january 2008.So, the total wireless subscriptions(GSM,CDMA and WLL(F)) are 250.93 million at the end of february 2008.
3.According to the CTIA website,256 million mark have been crossed in US.The subscription rate in US is 2-3 million per month where as in China the subscription rate is 6-7 millions per month. In India, subscription rate is highest in the range of 8-9 million a month.
4.India's wireless network will surpass the US wireless network in the first half of april and will become the second largest wireless network in the world after China.It will also cross the 300 million mark in the april 2008.
5.In case of wireline network,subscriptions have decreased to 39.18 million in february 2008 in comparison to 39.22 million in january 2008.It will also cross the mark of 300 million in april 2008.
6.In case of broadband, subscriptions have crossed 3.47 million in the end of february 2008.
