old man A study in appeared n the journal "Genome Research"  had found out for genes that controls the ageing process in basically two early stageorganisms, Yeast cells and  nematode worms. As these organisms were the 1.5 billion year old relative to the mammals.Researchers trying to study the genes to know their role in the ageing process, and by doing so hey hope to identify the ways to slow downthe process itself.
Brian Kennedy & his team of University of Washington in Seattle found out around 276 genes known to the process of ageing and among them around 25 were present at yeast & expected to be around 15 having similar versions in humans."Nematodes and humans are more similar to each other on an evolutionary scale than nematodes and yeast," said Erica Smith, a leading author of the study was quoting to " the Guardian" ,along with that he also added "We reasoned that if a particular gene modulates ageing in both yeast and nematodes, there is a good chance that gene plays a similar role in people".As the previous research illustrated that cutting out some caloriesfrom food can extend the life.Matt Kaeberlein, a co-author on the study quoted "What we would liketo eventually do is mimic the effects of dietary restriction with a drug, to see its effect in the genes".
